Oak Leaves

Material: Copper

In service: 2007

I photocopied a few different oak leaves, enlarged them to different sizes, and used these prints as the shapes that were cut from sheet copper. The copper cutouts were then hammered to shape with veins and leaf texture. Nuts were made from 3/4” copper cups . . . hammered round and welded together. Everything is soldered to a mounting bracket on the back of the leaf. Nice project, nice results.
